Warning Against Drifting

Feb 15, 2026    Greg Burdine

No one wakes up one morning and says, "Today, I think I'll drift away." Drift happens unnoticed, unchallenged, and unchecked. That is exactly what Hebrews addresses. It's not about losing salvation. It is about losing growth, confidence, effectiveness and assurance.

1. The Danger of Spiritual Stagnation (5:11-14).

2. The Seriousness of Standing Still (6:1-8).

3. The Call to Press On To Maturity and Full Assurance (6:9-12).

A true Christian cannot be lost - but a Christian can drift. Press on to maturity.
