Once again, we are coming to the close of another Summer. For many, it seems the Summer days go by way too fast and for a few others, these days simply signify another season just around the corner… football season!
Actually, during the month of September as many are settling back into their schools and jobs following vacation, we also know this is a time for people to look to the church once again for inspiration and fellowship. That is why we are participating in Back to Church Sunday on September 15.
Back To Church Sunday is a national church event that happens on the 3rd Sunday of September each year where the churches of America come together to invite their communities to church! And we have a BIG day planned so we want you to plan your visit.
When you sign up for Plan Your Visit we’ll:
✅ meet you at the front door
✅ help you get your kids checked in
✅ introduce you around to a few people
✅ save you seats
✅ we’ll even sit with you if you want (so you don't have to sit by yourself)
We want to make your first visit as easy as possible, and actually take time to get to know you and your family.

WHAT HAPPENS AT BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY?
In just so happens that Back to Church Sunday is also our church's 51st anniversary. Yes, back in 1973 Faith Baptist Church officially became a church and we like to celebrate every year.
During the 10:30 a.m. church service...
- Pastor Burdine will present a sermon from Psalm 51, a Bible passage that teaches the value of forgiveness.
- Our Worship team will lead us in some wonderful songs - old and new - to lead us to appreciate the goodness of God.
Following our morning service...
- We will have an Open House so the public can visit our new children's ministry building.
- Food and beverages will be provided for a great lunch.
- Bounce houses, games, and prizes will be available for the children to play.
In the evening...
- At 5:45 pm our children's club, AWANA, will have the first meeting of the school year. Ages 2 through 6th grade enjoy games, Bible lessons and refreshments.
- Also at 5:45 our Thrive youth ministry will enjoy games and Bible lessons. Teens from around the county enjoy fellowship and fun in a safe, welcoming environment.
- At 6:00 pm Pastor Burdine shares a message from the Book of Esther, highlighting the impact of one young lady.
