Share Your Faith
Sharing the hope of Jesus.
Simple ways to love people and share your faith.
The Gospel is good news worth sharing. You do not need to have every answer or give a perfect speech. Begin by showing the love of Jesus in everyday life, and look for opportunities to explain the hope you have in Him.
Pray First
Ask God for love, courage, and open doors. Pray for people by name, asking God to work in their hearts and help you recognize opportunities to speak about Jesus.
Build a Friendship
Learn their story. Be present and show sincere interest in their life. Look for ways to help, encourage, and spend time together. Care for them as a person, whether or not they are ready to talk about faith.
Ask & Listen
Invite honest questions and listen carefully. Ask about their experiences, beliefs, and concerns without rushing to give an answer. People are not projects. Treat them with the love and respect you would want to receive.
Share Your Story
Tell briefly what Jesus has done in your life. You might explain what your life was like before trusting Christ, how you came to trust Him, and how He is helping you today. Keep the focus on Jesus and speak honestly, without exaggerating.
Explain the Gospel
Your story can open the conversation, but people also need to hear the good news about Jesus. Explain it simply and invite questions.
All of us fall short of God's perfect standard. We cannot save ourselves.Romans 3:23
Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead. He alone can save us.1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Eternal life is God's gift. We receive it by trusting Jesus Christ, rather than earning it through good works.Ephesians 2:8-9
You can ask, "Would you like to talk more about what it means to trust Jesus?" Give them room to respond honestly. If they are ready, encourage them to turn from sin and trust Christ as Savior and Lord.
Try Starting a Conversation
Offer to pray
"How can I pray for you this week?"
Ask about church
"Do you have a church you attend?"
Ask permission to share
"Would you mind if I shared what Jesus means to me?"
Take One Simple Step This Week
Pray for one person by name. Be a good friend, look for an opportunity to share Jesus, and invite them to a church event or Sunday morning worship.
Keep caring, praying, and making yourself available. You can share the Gospel faithfully, but you cannot make someone believe. Trust God with the results.
